Organizing Your Paper and Room

Paper seems to be everywhere. In all the rooms in your house you most likely find paper. Of all the things we have, paper seems to be the messiest.

How To Have Paper Clutter:
1. Not having a place (filing system) for your papers
2. Not filing papers away even if you have a system
3. Not throwing out junk paper immediately

Steps To Stop Paper Clutter:
1. Create a file system
-A place for everything and everything in its place. If you don't have a place for those stacks of magazines throw them away.
2. File all homeschool, tests, and everything immediately
-It may be tempting to leave paper out but it will eventually grow and cause clutter!  You can set up a day to file (but you must be disciplined to do it:)
3. Remember you can not hold on to everything
Junk is junk and should be thrown out NOW!  With other things you may want to ask, "Will I want this five years from now?"

Our rooms are just a small taste for us ladies on what it will be like to have our own homes. This our practice round. It is better to learn and make mistakes now then when you are married.

How To Have a Messy Room:
1. Paper clutter!!!
2. Having too much stuff inside- toys, clothes, stuff, and junk
3. Not cleaning it regularly
4. Not putting away clothes

Steps To a Clean Room:
1. Getting rid of all unneeded things
2. Instituting a NO food rule, it causes messes, bugs, and funk
3. Making your bed makes the whole room looks cleaner

4. Cleaning regularly... Maintenance.... Maintenance.... Maintenance

My Schedule:
-I put away my clothes away every night Monday- Friday
-Tuesdays and Thursdays I straighten my closets
- I dust and and clean my room on Wednesdays and Fridays
- Vacuum my room on Fridays

Hope This Helps!!!

  1. Staying organized is very important. I agree, paper is the biggest disorder and may be the easiest to de-clutter if we just took time to throw away. Great tips:)

  2. You gave good suggestions on how to tame the paper that gets piled up. Once, I created a filing system it def. helped me in organizing my bills.
