Clutter

Via
Clutter, it's under our bed, in our closets, and on every flat surface. What exactly is clutter? Clutter is a confused or disordered state or collection; a jumble: Sound familiar? If you did not know that confusion is not from the Lord now you do. Many times in the Bible, confusion was sent as a punishment and curse.

The Lord will afflict you with madness, blindness and confusion of mind. Deuteronomy 28:28

The Lord will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and cone to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him. Deuteronomy 28:20

When you are frantically searching for that book that you think is under the bed, or looking for that pair of shoes under the pile of clothes you are not walking in peace. How can we honestly say that the Holy Spirit dwells in our homes/rooms when we ourselves do not want to be there?

Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven. Job 25:2

If our all powerful God is orderly, what makes us, who are nothing be disorderly? We all want to walk talk and be like Jesus. It is easier to think of doing "big" things, being missionaries and giving to the poor, but to be like Jesus we can not pick and choose. If God is orderly then we should be too.

Tomorrow I will share some ways to live clutter free organized lives. Stay tuned.
