90 Hours in 90 Days

For the past three months, my mom and I were trying to read the whole bible in 90 days. We have already finished it and are ready for a new challenge. Our new goal is to pray for 90 hours in 90 days. That is about an hour day. I like to break up the hour in half, 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the night. My mom likes to do 30 in the morning, 10 in the afternoon, and 20 at night. You can split the time in however it is convenient for you.

I started the challenge on October 01,2011 and I am aiming to finish before the new year! I am very excited for this challenge. There are so many things to pray about. I do not think I will run out of ideas. There are times when my mind wonders about, but it has been a blessing so far. One time I even prayed for all the members of our church.

You can always join too. This is a big growing experience for your spiritual life. It does not matter when you start or how long it takes you to finish. What does matter is that you spend good quality time in prayer with your Father. If you have any prayer petitions you can let me know so I can pray with you.

"You can do more than pray after you have prayed; but you can never do more than pray until you have prayed." A.J. Gordon

"Men may spurn our appeals, reject our message, oppose our arguments, despise our persons, but they are helpless against our prayers." Sidlow Baxter

  1. Amen. Prayer is always important and a plus for anyone's walk with God. May you be just as determined in this challenge as you were in the last.

  2. You are such an encouragement to me...I know that the Lord has been ministering me and teaching me the importance of having a prayer life and not just moments of prayer. We are to pray without ceasing. May the Lord continue to strengthen you and may you always find contentment and delight in His presence where there is fullness of joy.

  3. In prayer, not only do we get the privilege to speak to our God but that He also speaks back to our hearts.

May you have many more beautiful experiences in HIM my dear.

  4. Hello! My name is Jaime. I just found your blog, and was really encouraged by it! I know this was from months ago, but I was reading through your posts under "Bible", and this one really spoke to me. I am now going to try to pray 90 hours in 90 days. Thank you!
